Hydrangea – Cityline – ‘Vienna’ has giant pink flowers with cream-colored centers that gradually matures to solid pink. It has a neat, tight growing habit and is shorter than most Hydrangeas so pruning is never required. Needs high moisture. Flower color is affected by the pH level, pink flowers require a more alkaline soil. Apply a slow release fertilizer in early Spring. Mature Height is 2 to 3 feet. Mature Spread is 1 to 2 feet. Hydrangea ‘Pink Shira’ has huge flowers that start out green and become infused with red, and then change to shades of rich pink. The Pink Shira variety has been noted to bloom even when other varieties have been damaged by frost. Needs high moisture. Impatiens – Rockapulco Appleblossom
The Impatiens – Rockapulco ‘Appleblossom’ will light up any shady area with masses of pink blooms that look like miniature roses from Spring till frost without deadheading. Mature Height is 10 to 20 inches. Mature Spread is 10 to 12 inches. Plant in Full Shade to Partial Shade. For Zones 3-11. Can become a perennial in zones 9-11. Impatiens are symbolic of “Motherly Love”. In the medieval Mary gardens devoted to the Virgin Mary, Impatiens plants were called “Our Lady’s Earrings.” The individual colors have not been given separate meanings.

Lamium ‘Cosmopolitan’ has airy puffs of light pink flowers from mid-Spring to early Summer. Pinch to promote a more compact bushy growth after it’s first bloom. Mature Height is 3 to 6 inches. Mature Spread is 12 to 24 inches. Plant in Full Shade to Partial Shade. For Zones 3-8.
The Lilac ‘Alexander Pink’ a Canadian Lilac with bright pink flowers. Extremely hardy (-45° below zero). Prune as needed immediately after flowering. Remove faded flower panicles before the seeds set to increase blooms for the following year. Mature Height is 6 to 9 feet. Mature Spread is 5 to 8 feet. Plant in Full Sun. For Zones 2-7. The Lilac’s symbolism is “Humility”, but the Pink Lilac is the symbol of “Youth, and Acceptance”.
